Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival in MES / Medan - Bahorok 

Arrive at Medan Airport. Meet and greet at the airport then start on Medan City Tour. Visit Maimoon Palace, the palace of Old Deli Kingdom and the temple of east mountain. Drive to north - westwarth for about 3 hours to Bahorok, orang utan center. En route passing through several small town followed by vast view of rubber and oil plantation with some countryside landscape. Stop to see Palm oil plantation from outside. If its season you can stop to see the local rambutan and cacao garden, also stop to see the local market in Kuala. Arrive in Bahorok, check in hotel. Afternoon trekking to the orang utan station to watch the orang utan feeding. Walk down about 25 minutes to river then cross by dug-out canoe to the gate of orang utan station. Then hike up another 25 minute to the feeding station Watch the process of orang utan feeding at 03.00 pm The orang utan are free animals and cannot be booked in advance. Some times in fruit season when there are many fruits in the jungle they might not come to the feeding center. After watching the feeding process walking back to your hotel through the same way. (We include one time visit to orang utan feeding site. If you are unable to catch the 3 pm feeding time at this day, it can do it in the next day at 07.00 am. ( D )

Day 02 : Bahorok - Medan - Brastagi

After breakfast free program at Bohorok then depart to Medan via plantation road. Arive in Medan visit Catholic church Maria Annai Velangkani. Depart for Brastagi - a highland resort with its refreshing weather and magnificent mountain scenery, through some part of the lush tropical rain forest of Sumatra. Reaching Brastagi, visit Golden Burmese Pagoda. Then visit the fruit market of Brastagi.( B, L & D )

Day 03 : Brastagi - Parapat - Samosir Island 

Depart for Parapat - a famous lake resort lies on the east shore of Lake Toba. Visit traiditonal Batak Karo Village. See the slender Sipiso-piso Waterfall drops into the northern tip shore of Lake Toba from hundred meter height. Visit the ancient King's Palace of Simalungun at Pematang Purba. Proceed to Parapat through the fertile vegetable and fruit farms, pine tree forest and spectacular view of Lake Toba along most part of the journey. Arrive in Parapat, leave for Samosir - a huge island in the middle of Lake Toba. It takes 45 minutes to get to the island by public boat.  ( B, L & D )

Day 04 : Samosir Island Tour

After breakfast, start for Samosir Island Tour. Visit the Tomb of King Sidabutar and Batak Toba Village at Tomok. Then to Ambarita, a traditional village with ancient megalithic furniture in front of the traditional house and also visit the Village of Simanindo to watch folkdance performance of Batak Toba people. Afternoon return to hotel. ( B, L & D )

Day 05 : Samosir - Parapat - Medan 

Return to Parapat by boat / ferry then depart to Medan, the capital city of North Sumatra which is about 175 km away. En route, first hour pass by several small towns : Pematang Siantar and Tebing Tinggi, and then followed by vast view of rubber, and oil palm plantations. Arrive in Medan, city tour of Medan.  ( B, L & D )
