I just flipped through the recently printed Balinese Calendar for 2015 and found that NYEPI falls on Saturday, March 21, 2015.
Here is the full story: Balinese Seclusion Day March 21, 2015 This year, HARI RAYA NYEPI, making the beginning of CAKA New Year 1937, falls on Saturday, March 21, 2015 CAKA Calendar, one of Balinese calendar system is a lunar calendar of 12/30-day months that begins around the vernal equinox.
NYEPI, at its name conveys is a day of silence, fasting and meditation. Observance will start before sunset on March 20, 2015 and last until sunrise March 22, 2015. Devout Hindus are expected to stay at home and abstain from all activities. It is a common belief that the practice is also one of rebirth and cleansing. Approaching NYEPI you will notice great excitement all over Bali. Every village would bring out large processions to take the Gods to the sea for their symbolical bath. At sunset on Friday, March 20, 2015 Ogoh-Ogoh giant effigies processions accompanied by gamelan musicians and people carrying torch lights can be seen all over the island. These processions are meant to drive away the evil spirits.
This celebration is very important and taken seriously by both Hindus and non-Hindus. Guest staying in Bali is asked to assist in preserving this day of silence and meditation.
Guest is discouraged to leave the hotel grounds and walk on the beach area as the Balinese may consider this an insult. Most importantly, guest is not allowed to arrive and depart during this entire observance as the Airport will be closed and there will be no transportation available from / to the airport.
( For those wishes to go to Bali during this period, should arrive by latest on Friday, March 20, 2015 at latest 11.00 pm. All activities will start again on Sunday 22, 2013 at 06.00 AM )
